Request for funds information

Grant requests are due January 15, 2018

2017-2018 Grant Request

The Chapin Woman’s Club’s mission is to support local charities, schools and nonprofit organizations. All monetary support for these organizations must originate with a written request for funds submitted by a sponsoring member to the Board. The official “Request for Funds” form is maintained on the CWC website or a copy can be obtained from the Treasurer. All Requests for Funds must be submitted to the Board by January 15 of the current Club year for consideration during that Club year. The Board will review the request and, if approved, will recommend to the Membership that the Club donate the requested amount to the specified organization. Typically the recommendation to the Membership will occur when the results of the fund raising efforts for the Club year are known. However, if the funding is needed immediately for an urgent need, the Board will make the recommendation to the membership in a timely manner to meet the need. All recommended requests will be voted on by the Membership and are considered approved if the majority of votes cast are in favor of. If the request is not approved by the Board, the sponsoring member will be notified of the decision and an explanation of the denial will be provided.
